Description :

You know those elaborate machines that make simple tasks like striking a match more complicated in an unnecessary but fun way. They’re called Rube Goldberg machines and Sniper Elite 4 is the shooter version of that.

Rebellion shooter is complex and being patient can feel silly when running an in shooting often works just fine. However, Sniper Elite 4 isn't just about killing Nazis it's about dismantling them letting you play puppet master is by far its best trick before you pull the trigger you might need to consider holding your breath the pull of gravity and your rifles muzzle velocity and that's just for the standard difficulty for authentic mode you'll also deal with wind direction ammo scarcity and more. It sounds cumbersome but it's fun to experiment and improve within those constraints. You have the tools to go full Dark Knight on these guys once you're comfortable you can set up satisfying kills like dominoes. For example, after killing a Nazi officer I set up a trap moved his body into the open and lured a guard to his death outsmarting the enemy AI in new and interesting ways didn't get old over 14 hours. There’s a side effect to such a wealth of options though the difference between difficulty modes is sharp so your efforts to play smart can feel wasted unless you crank it up. On normal mode if you blow your cover you can just gonna everyone down and unless you're bent on playing like a masochist many of sniper Lefors options become a take-it-or-leave-it affair.

The humdrum World War two stories is spread across eight huge campaign levels and it packs in tons of variety taking you to a remote island or radar facility and other locales. Though they were all over an hour long they didn't drag on each one begins with a few primary objectives Nazis to kill generally and some secondary tasks like destroying a downed plane. Then it lets you put on your grown-up fatigues and go leaving the minutiae of how to get the job done up to you. It prompts you to try new things with mechanics that are unique to each level. One map has a massive railgun that fires at regular intervals and you can sync your shots with it to stay hidden. I spent most of my early time in each mission hiding in foliage tagging everything of note with binoculars. it might sound menial but it's actually fun when you know your prep work matters and when you spend so much time just looking around it's great to see new sights. It’s a shame not as much variety was extended to your weapons themselves with most firearms the differences between them are too small to notice.

Separately four has a handful of great ways to play alongside a friend and it's just as flexible as when you're playing solo. Guns blazing works but splitting up is much more interesting. If you're a part you can take turns making noise and ping-pong enemies back and forth the lack of rules feels like a challenge to experiment. My favorite use of coop and Sniper Elite 4 is survival which is a variant of gears of wars horde mode. Played with up to 4 enemies come at you in 12 waves each more difficult. The action is faster and more focused but it doesn't sacrifice the experimental nature and if the enemy takes control of your supply station the pace of the match dynamically changes from holdout defense to guerrilla warfare offense. Competitive multiplayer is more hit or miss depending on the modes. Sniper Elite 4 works best when you're dealing with enemies of habit which human players aren't but the slower longer range warfare mode is great because it's thrilling to know that even the slightest movement could tip off your location. Control mode is also a highlight because having a highly contested objective area keeps the action followed and fast.

Lots of games claim to let you play how you want to play but Sniper Elite fours missions and mechanics actually delivers. Though, it doesn't always reward your efforts the way it encourages you to stay mindful experiment and improve is a refreshing vote of confidence.

Description :

It’s very hard not to get sucked in by the spectacle of FIFA new player animations narrow the gap between game and reality even further. Ultimate team’s promise of the very best fantasy football has never been more alluring and Alex hunters return in the journey mode provides a narrative look not found in any other football game.

While it's some his presentation and authenticity is unparalleled the on pitch action never quite hits the same high notes. It often feels like realism is sidelined in favour of the extraordinary and this is no more apparent than in close control of the ball. New dribbling and animation systems provide more options to get past defenders and work your way through a crowded midfield but the world's best players now feel much too good and at times unstoppable. a lot of emphasis has been placed on creating a game of attack and fluidity and us that you feel extremely powerful breezing past your opponent but the downside is a feeling of being incredibly limited and vulnerable in defense. so much so score lines are extraordinarily high as attackers run riot and repeatedly stick the ball in the back of the net even when you're playing as teams known for the defensive ability.

play as skip over tackles and shrug off opponents with ease giving them enough time and space to play any patter shot they want. Initially these master classes of skill are a pleasure to watch but over time the effect is muted given how often moments of attack and magic occur. Passing to feels overly precise in how perfectly the ball finds the feet of your teammate. This limits the impact of plays to thrive on intelligently positioned themselves to make interceptions such as in Golic ante or sergio busquets and it's tempting to not play defensive midfielders at all and load up on more attacking players. while this focus doesn't take all the fun out of FIFA 18 it has a negative impact on its authenticity as a recreation of the sport and it certainly at odds with the accuracy of its visuals which once again a top of the line. On the other hand the addition of quick substitutions is a welcome one and while being able to swap out players doing replays is in the game changer it really helps the flow of the game. Elsewhere the journey continues where last season's story left off with Alex hunter moving ever closer to becoming a footballing superstar.

Improvements have been made to the balance between time spent on and off the pitch but while it's a fun distraction from the core gameplay experience it still feels like a missed opportunity. This is in part due to the dialogue choices which at times don't seem to have any impact whatsoever such as the scene in which Rio Ferdinand interviews hunter. as a result you never feel genuinely in control of hunters story relegated instead to being part of his audience therefore that journey feels shallow and more of a diversion than a main event. On the other hand Ultimate Team sees the meaningful addition of squad bowels a single-player mode where you compete against squads built by other players the more games you win the better the reward and the higher at the leaderboard you climb. it's a great addition for the players who Like to play with Bots rather than against real-time players but still want the diversity offered by community design teams. new addition icons adds an extra layer of fantasy to foot's roots but drafted in legends like Diego Maradona, Ronaldinho and more alongside the best players of the day is little more than a novelty. Ultimate team while broadly unchanged still provides the most exciting online play our beer for those with a high skill level. Foot draft is as fascinating as ever although it can become an expensive hobby and online seasons is the most welcome allowing players to find their level comfortably. The biggest tweak to career mode comes from the transfer market in contract negotiations transport dealings are conducted in real time via dialogue options that take place between yourself and managers of other clubs. it's designed to add drama and lavishness to the overall vibe and it works to good effect. creating a hollywood-style sense of excitement two transfers in much the same way Sky Sports attempts to do on transfer deadline day. bringing in a new face is now a process that feels more important and that in turn makes you and your role also feel more important which is a great thing given how much time you've been synced into managing a team.

Ultimately fifa 18 added enough new ideas to suggest it's not sitting on the step of his success however is a simplified experience one that fails to accept the diversity of football at the highest level its focus on attack create for striking matches but they often feel like thriftless offensive training sessions rather than proper matches with depth and strategy.

Description :

No two playthroughs are the same in Dishonored 2 developer arcane has double down on the originals play your wave formula with two separate sets of skills a deep and multifaceted world and a dizzying array of level designs that affect your approach to every new area. Whether you select a stealthy or combat based approach all of your playthroughs is additionally to the wide selection of stories which will be told within dishonored 2’s wonderfully twisted universe.

15 years have gone since the events of the first dishonored and therefore the world of empress of the isles emily kaldwin is once more thrown into disarray when her evil aren't appears with suspicious designs on her throne. Its pedestrian catalyst to your most vital decision in Dishonored 2 will you play as Emily or her father and protect her Corvo attano though their stories play out in much the identical way with well-crafted and low-key dialogue altered to your character. You must choose wisely as it's a choice you would stuck with for the rest of your playthrough. It’s a smart call on our Caine's part as the developer has put a lot of focus on each character's individual skills both can work excellently in either a low chaos or high chaos playthrough despite their different supernatural skill sets. Both have the basic abilities to teleport a short distance choke out enemies and drop knockout enemies a welcome addition for those playing stealthily but beyond that they play very differently. You can use Emily's Domino power for example to take down several enemies at once lethally or non-lethal II or if you're playing as Corvo has been time ability allows for magnificent slow-mo kills or a quick impossible escape. Combine these with other abilities such as Emily's doppelgangers or corvo's possession and you can create some of dishonored 2’s best and most surprising moments.

The southern European kiss city of carnico is not only beautiful but it's dense with secrets and far more vertical than dishonored dunwall there are garden festive main paths, hidden entrances twisting alleyways and tall blood fly infested buildings. While I did notice some popin issues on the PlayStation 4 in open areas and one crash they were no deal-breakers and overall the detail arcane has managed to stuff into Dishonored 2 is astounding the gorgeous painterly art style that made the original so distinctive is in full effect here. The city feels alive too unlike the streets of the originals dunwall where a rat plague explained away their emptiness kanaka is thriving. NPCs beckon you over to give you an optional quest or you might stumble into a conflict in a black market or you'll overhear a couple of blood splattered Whalers discussing the repercussions of something you did a chapter or two ago. This encourages a constant drive to explore you are an assassin but there are always at least two ways to dispense with your mark and one of them can only be unlocked through careful examination of clues during my second playthrough I discovered vital information I breeze pass in my first and I imagine there will still be more to find in my third.

You can't lean too heavily on one approach however, because arcane keeps switching up central mechanics in each chapter that makes each one feel vital and distinct. In the dust district for example, billows of dust will obscure your vision every five minutes or so but it also blocks the guards giving you opportunities to slip by that don't exist on any of the map. Within the clockwork mansion the layout of every floor are often changed using levers allowing quick getaways or access to secret areas. within the Royal Conservatory you want to affect enemies who behave during a very different way than what you have been familiar with . Such uncertain additions to an already complicated world kept me always alert and since virtue is ultimately a binary choice in Dishonored 2 kill fewer NPCs and you will be allow to get a happier ending this focus is very important. Dishonored 2’s broader story is ultimately predictable if you're familiar with the first game. the protagonist standout thanks to their delightfully understated voice work but curiously decided whose biggest can tart is given to meet in foster captain of the ship that serves as your base in between missions keep an eye on her.

With two unique characters to play with themed chapters that keep things interesting and a gorgeous and evocative world that feels alive. Dishonored 2 is a remarkably flexible stealth and action game. Though I would have liked a little bit more ingenuity in its central story it's the stories that I've created on my own that I'll remember every graceful, fumbling and hilarious one of them I feel compelled to create many more in the months to come.

Description :

Watching virtual people behave in silly and interesting ways and guiding them through their daily lives is as strong as ever in the sims 4 and building houses is way better but at the same time a major lack of expected features and a small broken up world don't let them live their lives to the fullest. Even though it's fun it's a big letdown that the sequel doesn't inspire the same wow factor as the sims 3 did when I first played it years ago.

When I first created a sim I was impressed by the great push and pull body customization tools and selection of expressive walks but disappointed that I could only assign for total traits that turned out to be less of a problem that I'd imagined because the new emotion system makes a lot out of a little. It’s really cool and easily the best thing about the sims 4. emotions open up new contextual opportunities like being able to brighten someones day when happy. It makes a lot more sense than just having static interactions based on personality traits I got a kick out of watching a confidence impe like a champion and it was kind of touching the scene inspired husband tell his wife about his dreams. It’s a slow burn though it took me about 15 hours of playing to fully appreciate the complexity of sim emotions but now I'm really enjoying it. The big shock to the system happens when you leave your Sims house for the first time loading screens are everywhere even when you just want to go next door they're not nearly as long as the one Sims 3 fans are used to but I'm really disappointed with the Sims 4 a segmented world. it feels more like going back to the sims 2 than it does the openness of the sims 3

The starting town we get feels pretty small too there are only about ten public venues to visit between the two available neighborhoods and most of them feel same and because the world is so small it felt like I kept running into the same few people no matter where I went which limited social opportunities. You can't even make new friends at work and job opportunities are limited too. I ended up keeping my sim at her house most of the time but thanks to the new and improved multitasking feature being at home wasn't so bad. Even as my sim worked as a programmer a friend could come over and chat to keep her company at the same time. Conversations have a similarly easy flow and they can involve more than just two sims. It’s really nice to not to micromanage Sims interactions at every turn and it's especially fun to watch for these more intelligent conversations go when you're not interfering. On quite one occasion I've watched Sims gain the embarrassed emotion while taking due to a misleading romantic advance or a joke that nobody really got.

On the absolutely non emotional side of the Sims 4 build mode has some great tools that make building houses more flexible and less frustrating than ever like the ability to pick up entire rooms and move them anywhere on the lot without raising them to the ground and rebuilding from scratch and the push and pull tool allows you to move or resize an entire length of wall at once some tools are quirky though. Foundations are now applied retroactively Lee which is cool but unfortunately it applies to every structure on the entire lot. It means no split levels and no garages but since there aren't any cars in The Sims 4 the ladder isn't a huge deal. Except no cars in the sims 4 is a very great deal. This is supposed to be a people simulation and people have cars right people also don't go straight from being babies to being kids but sims in the sims 4 do. People also go swimming but in the sims 4 there are no pools those are all really sore spots especially since pools. Have always been one of the best ways of killing off sims if you're into that. as a style focus Sims player the biggest disappointment for me is that we don't have the sensories create a style tool anymore. To be fair I was able to successfully design a matching cohesive space-age look with the tools available. It just makes me sad that I can't make cool pajamas in the exact print I want or buy a couch in the style and color I'd like.

Transitioning from the sims 3 to the sims 4 is a little rough. the sims 4 is barren of content and expecting features by comparison. Some of these things are hard to get over especially the limited scope of the worlds and lack of pools. It’s not so much that Maxis didn't recreate the same features but rather that there aren't enough cool new things to replace what's missing. So, in most ways the sims 3 is a much better game yet the sims 4 does have some small victories in its emotion system and excellent building tools overall the sims 4 is a good start to what may eventually be expanded into a great sim’s game it's just not there yet.

Description :

Seeking out new life and new civilizations to shoot and have sex with Mass Effect Andromeda creatively sidesteps the storytelling limitations of Mass Effect three's ending. By launching a gaggle of pioneers into an entire new galaxy what they find there's a huge and sometimes exciting action role-playing game that kept me engaged. But after the outstanding trilogy that created this universe it's a disappointing following.

There's an immediate sense of mystery as the human colony ship encounters a massive world ruining space anomaly at a hostile new alien race led by a threatening villain. But it's bizarre that Bioware went to the trouble of shipping us 2.5 million light-years away to introduce only two new alien races over more than 50 hours of campaign and major side missions and only one local joins your crew. Andromeda also re-added some major plot ideas from the first trilogy which includes another long dead civilization that's left highly advanced technology lying around. The major worlds you explore are almost all distinct from each other and most are huge granted the majority of that is empty space and there's a fair amount of repeated structures and enemy encounters populating them. But they often have unique hazards and tooling around in the Nomad is a little more interesting than simply holding down the gas button thanks to jump Jets and a simple gear ship for going up hill. there's a lot of filler in the form of MMO style fetch and kill quests too, plus scanning uninhabited planets for resources as TD as a task as it's been in any of the original trilogy but at least it's over quickly and the spaceflight scenes between them are gorgeous.
Each explorable world is home to alien monoliths that have to be activated to make the planet hospitable to colonists and whenever you see one you know there's going to be some puzzle. they don't force you to think outside the box but as someone who enjoys Sudoku number puzzles I found these to be a nice break from the action. I could do without the jumping puzzles though.

I'm Ryder the human Pathfinder unlike Shepherd who could barely step over an ankle hi obstacle the new customizable protagonist Ryder is fantastically mobile. Just listen to that supremely satisfying jump jet that bolts you over nearly anything. Combined with the jet dash move it's easy to get comfortable running out to flank enemies giving combat a much more energetic pace compared to hunkering down behind cover. I'm still not entirely comfortable with the automatic over system though I'm never 100% certain it will work as I expect. This radically different class system is almost ridiculously open. you're limited to equipping any three of the diverse selection of abilities at any time but you can swap out your configuration and even your class profile right in the middle of a fight. That flexibility is cool but it makes those choices feel more like working around a UI limitation than a meaningful character decision and it's strange that you can swap out your powers at will but not the guns in your inventory.

Your crew is a fairly generic band of mass effect humans and aliens. There’s nothing really wrong with them and most have deep backstories to dive into but none struck me as memorable stars like Gareth Talley or Morden PB is probably the best of the cast thanks to her quirky humor and bickering with her fellow asari Alexi. but the rest seemed to conflict-free to be all that interesting everyone getting along for the most part is a little bit boring regardless of how flirty and naked.

They are part of that is because the writing is so inconsistent there are some respectable quests and excellent morally great questions where both options have compelling logic and terrible consequences. But also cheesy jokes and stilted conversations at least the voice acting is almost universally strong enough that I quickly stopped noticing the subpar human facial animations. On that note Mass Effect Andromeda is more than a little rough in the technical sense on PlayStation 4 and Xbox one it's prone to major framerate drops and hitches regardless of what's happening on screen. There’s also very noticeable in distracting texture pop-in during conversations. The companions are also a bit disappointing in combat your control over them is limited to two commands stand into place or attack a thing and you can't pause the action to place them tactically. That’s just not enough control to reliably coordinator bility combos so you're pretty much on your own. You can't equip them with gear either. Mass Effect 3 is wave-based co-op multiplayer mode returns which allows you and three teammates to make better use of the power combos to take down enemies and reach objectives quickly. It’s simple but more entertaining than you'd expect and the rewards it doles out and random card packs keeps things interesting by making you make the most of the gear you have available.

Mass Effect Andromeda is a fully action role-playing game. It has couple of remarkable moments thourgh out the game that recapture the high points of the landmark trilogy that came before it and its energetic combat and fantastic sound effects create a potent sci-fi atmosphere. But without consistently strong writing or a breakout star in its cast to carry it through the long hours and empty spaces disappointments like the lack of new races, major performance problems and no companion customization and bugs take their toll.
